VisitLancashire in National Travel Awards
VisitLancashire.com has been named by the British Travel Awards (BTAS) as one of the contenders for the Best UK Holiday Destination in the British Travel Awards 2014, and it’s now down to the general public, to vote for their favourite holiday county.
Voting opens today Tuesday July 1 and closes on 30 September 2014. Those wishing to vote for Lancashire will find VisitLancashire.com in the UK/domestic holiday sector, where they can also vote in other categories including: Best UK Leisure Attraction; Best UK Heritage Attraction; Best UK Holiday Resort.
VisitLancashire.com is the official visitor guide for Lancashire created and managed by Marketing Lancashire, the Destination Management Organisation(DMO) for the county. The website had over 1.2 million unique visitors (viewing over 4 million pages) in the last year and offers a comprehensive, searchable database of thousands of attractions, places to stay and things to do on a short break or days out in Lancashire. As visitors are increasingly searching on-the-go visitlancashire.com is also enabled for mobiles and tablets, with use of visitlancashire.com on mobile devices up 98% in the last year.

We have so much choice that our visitors genuinely represent all walks of life from older couples, with time and money to indulge their pastimes, or new families enjoying time together on a budget, to the many individuals, groups and young people perhaps discovering Lancashire for the first time.
