VisitEngland are looking for their next Tourism Superstar
VisitEngland’s Tourism Superstar award, now in its thirteenth year, recognises and celebrates those in the tourism industry who go the extra mile to ensure visitors in England have an amazing and unforgettable experience.
Tourism Superstar nominees are passionate about where they work and the destination they live in, and consistently set the bar high for the standard of service in England’s tourism industry. Nominees can be individuals or teams of up to 10.
If you know a Tourism Superstar in Lancashire who fits the criteria, send your suggestions to [email protected] so we can share them with the team at VisitEngland before nominations close at the end of November 2024.
Last year’s list of finalists included Sue and Ian Rainford of Brickhouse Farm Cottages, nominated for their passion for providing an outstanding accessible accommodation option and their advocacy of accessible tourism. The overall winner of the award in 2024, Pete Chambers, was praised for being the heart and soul of the Coventry Music Museum, a museum which he developed to commemorate and honour the music of the city. Pete runs the museum entirely as a volunteer, securing exhibits, running the finances and managing the team; going above and beyond for its visitors when the need arises. A video with short clips from the 2024 finalists can be viewed here.
The 10 finalists for the award will be announced during December and each one will be filmed in their local area with films hosted via a dedicated webpage. The public will then be asked to vote for their favourite before the competition closes at the end of English Tourism Week 2025.
