Writer and broadcaster Stuart Maconie arrives in Lancaster on April 30 during his nocturnal trip through Britain in search of fun.
On his third visit to The Dukes, this time with his new show – The Pie At Night – Stuart will use his bestselling books as a guide, plotting a route that takes in high art to low culture, family holidays to fell-walking, music, sport, politics, crown green bowling and zombie apocalypses.
Stuart is one of the the UK's top selling travel writers, with Adventures on the High Teas bringing comparisons to Bill Bryson and earning him the title of a national treasure.
He’s also written acclaimed biographies of Blur and James, co-hosts the Radcliffe and Maconie Show on BBC Radio 6 Music as well as presenting dozens of other shows on BBC radio and television.
