UCLan offers 'Handshake' to local businesses

The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) can offer partners in Lancashire, large and small, the opportunity to engage with the enthusiasm and skills of a wide range of university students.  Many of our students, including those studying tourism, hospitality and events are seeking employment in Lancashire, whether it be full-time 48 or 30 week placements, short 6 week placements, part-time work, or virtual internships, our students are able to support your employment needs.

We  use a jobs and networking platform called Handshake which offers a new and exciting way for you to connect with our students. Handshake is free to use and channels opportunities to appropriate students very effectively.    Please use this link to set up your profile.

It’s not only for jobs adverts.  Handshake will;

    • Give you options to promote your organisation and opportunities in a vibrant way

    • Provide a fully automated recruitment process, with inbuilt video appointment functionality

    • Enable you to target students to recruit to a particular role or from a particular demographic (limits apply)

    • Allow you to easily host events online & display your profile to receive direct messages

    • Log into Handshake

    • Click on ‘Institutions’ in the left-hand navigation menu.

    • Click on the ‘More institutions on Handshake’ tab, select the University of Central Lancashire and click ‘Request’

You can now start meeting your employment needs by posting opportunities.
