Whalley Artisan Market, a monthly gathering held on the last Sunday of each month, has firmly established itself as a must-visit event. With the next market set for June 25th, this social gathering in the heart of the Ribble Valley has become a regular fixture in the centre of Whalley. The unwavering support from talented makers, creators, and devoted customers has been nothing short of phenomenal, leading to record-breaking sales and footfall.
One particular highlight of Crafty Vintage’s summer extravaganza was the event held on May 1st at the prestigious Crow Wood Hotel & Spa Resort in Burnley. The atmosphere was electric, and attendees were treated to a spectacular showcase of craftsmanship and creativity. The success of this event has left everyone eagerly anticipating the upcoming Festive Market on December 10th, where the magic of the holiday season will blend seamlessly with Crafty Vintage’s unique charm.
In a testament to their ability to collaborate and curate unforgettable experiences, Crafty Vintage joined forces with Darwen Town Council to organise a series of captivating events. The King’s Coronation Big Street Party, held in May, was a resounding success, attracting crowds from far and wide. Building on this triumph, Crafty Vintage is returning with the Darwen Festival of Fun on Saturday, July 1st. This family-friendly festival includes immersive street theatre, stilt walkers, giant bubbles and a stellar lineup of local talent from Lancashire Dance Academy and Zoe Taylor Dance. Additionally, an Artisan Market will be part of the festivities, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.
As July unfolds, Crafty Vintage’s dedicated team finds themselves immersed in a whirlwind of activities. They will be organising a Pamper Parlour in the glamping field at the Beat Herder Festival, bringing a touch of indulgence and relaxation to festival-goers in need of rejuvenation. Furthermore, Crafty Vintage Village at the Royal Lancashire Show, from July 21st to July 23rd. This unique collaboration allows visitors to experience the best of both worlds—enjoying the lively atmosphere of the show while discovering the artisanal wonders.
And to wrap up the month of July, the team will be back in Whalley for another edition of the Whalley Artisan Market on Sunday, July 30th.
Looking back at the first half of 2023, Crafty Vintage has every reason to be thrilled. Their dedication to evolving and identifying new and exciting venues to showcase their vibrant community has paid off immensely.
