LANX shortlisted for hat trick of awards
Whalley-based shoe brand is triple Red Rose finalist
LANX has been shortlisted in not one, but three categories in the prestigious Red Rose Business Awards.
Founder Marco Vaghetti explains; ‘We haven’t entered the awards before and we were delighted to be shortlisted in all three categories we submitted; Small Business, Design, and Scale Up.
‘Completing the submissions was a rewarding process as it gave us opportunity to pause and appreciate how far we’ve come in such a relatively short time.
‘Five years ago, I sold my first pair of shoes on a pop-up market stall. And today – we have two stores, a 13-strong team, and a proud Lancashire brand of ‘proper shoes’ that people across the UK have really taken to heart.
‘The same five years that encompassed Brexit, the pandemic, war in Europe, and a cost of living crisis – saw LANX continuing to grow in strength and success despite these challenges.
‘We followed our original men’s range with a women’s collection, continue to collaborate with notable brands and major sporting teams like Wigan Warriors, Wales Rugby Union, Leicester Tigers, and recently unveiled a water-resistant boot that broke all previous sales records.
‘We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, and we have no intention of slowing down!
‘As an independent company that takes such pride in our regional heritage, we’ve obviously got everything crossed for a win (or three)at the Red Rose Awards. But Lancashire is famous for its hardworking people and innovative industries – so being shortlisted among the best of the best businesses in the county is worth celebrating in its own right.
‘We’d like to wish all the nominees the best of luck, and we look forward to raising a glass in celebration of Lancashire’s finest on March 14th.’
