Lancashire’s Flower Bowl wins national excellence award
Lancashire’s newest and most unusual leisure venue, The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre, won Bronze in the Best New Tourism Business category at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2020!
Having won the New Tourism Business Award at the Visit Lancashire ceremony back in November, The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre located at Brock, Garstang, was automatically entered into the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2020. This national award presentation took place virtually on the evening of 17th August 2020, and celebrated the best businesses within the tourism industry, covering areas such as Accessibility, Sustainability, Best Experience, Best Large Hotel, and The Flower Bowl’s category, Best New Tourism Business. On the night, The Flower Bowl which is home to the North of England’s only curling hall, a three-screen premium cinema, 18-hole all-weather crazy golf course, a luxury ten pin bowling alley, two state of the art golf simulators and two great places to eat, took home the Bronze Award of Excellence for Best New Tourism Business.
Managing Director of The Flower Bowl, Guy Topping, was delighted with the outcome: ‘We are absolutely thrilled to be recognised at both a local and national level for the teams hard work have over the past two years.’
Guy Topping went on to explain: ‘With being such a new and unique venue, The Flower Bowl brings something totally different to the local area. We (The Flower Bowl) are home to the North of England’s only curling hall, and we’ve successfully hosted some national and international curling tournaments here already, so we hope that winning Bronze at such a prestigious awards ceremony will help us to continue to be recognised up and down the country and ultimately bring more tourism to Lancashire.’
