Fylde Gallery Opens at Lytham Hall
Fylde Council is delighted to announce the opening of Fylde Gallery at Lytham Hall. This exciting new venture celebrates the centenary of the Lytham St Annes Art Collection.
The sixteenth-century Long Gallery at Lytham Hall has undergone a significant £65,000 refurbishment to create a stunning new exhibition space. This investment will ensure the collection is showcased to its full potential.
The inaugural exhibition, Centenary, will open on 31st January 2025. This special exhibition will celebrate the collection’s rich history, featuring renowned artists such as Richard Ansdell and Charles Burton Barber. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of artworks.
Cllr Jayne Nixon, Fylde Council’s Lead Member for Tourism, Leisure & Culture, said: “We’re thrilled to open Fylde Gallery and share this incredible collection with the public. This is a significant milestone for Fylde, and we believe it will attract visitors from far and wide. Lytham Hall, as the ideal venue to display these works of art, provides the perfect setting to appreciate the beauty and history of the Lytham St Annes Art Collection. We invite everyone to come and experience it for themselves.”
Fylde Gallery will be open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10am to 4pm from 31st January 2025. For more information about the exhibition programme and opening times, please visit the Discover Fylde website here
