Forbes welcome new solicitor to Property Litigation team
Forbes Solicitors has appointed Robyn Veevers as a solicitor in its specialist Property Litigation team, following growing demand for commercial and residential property dispute services.
In her new role, Robyn will provide support across the team, advising on complex matters including landlord and tenant claims, breaches of leases, land title disputes, boundary issues, adverse possessions and dilapidations disputes.
Robyn qualified as a solicitor in August 2024 and previously worked with Preston-based Marsden Rawsthorn Solicitors. She completed her law degree at Lancaster University and achieved a Distinction in a Legal Services Masters at the University of Central Lancashire.
Commenting on her appointment, Robyn said: “Forbes’ property litigation team supports a broad range of clients throughout the property sector, from estate agents through to developers, landlords and tenants. This involves advising on many different, complex and sometimes contentious matters. I’m looking forward to this diversity of work and being part of a dedicated team that has a wealth of experience and knowledge.”
Georgina Kenny, Head of the Property Litigation team, commented: “There has been a lot of recent, significant change in property law. The Renters’ Rights Bill and The Leasehold and Reform Act have both been introduced this year. Alongside this, there are ambitious plans coming from Government to tackle housing shortages, affordability and quality. The sector is moving at pace, creating both opportunities and challenges that can lead to differences of opinion and opposing views of how individual rights and entitlements are affected. This is driving demand for specialist property litigation advice.
“Robyn joining the team helps us to stay ahead of demand and expands our capabilities to support businesses and individuals throughout the commercial and residential property sectors.”
