First Friday Scare Stories
One of the landmark films of silent cinema will be screened with a live score outdoors in Lancaster Castle’s courtyard courtesy of The Dukes this First Friday.
Nosferatu is an iconic take on the story of Dracula and will be accompanied with a live score, composed and performed by Lancaster-based duo Lee Affen and Ric Smithson who have previously scored The Phantom of the Opera and Metropolis for The Dukes as well as performing their Nosferatu score in Williamson Park.
It could be chilly and dark during and after the screening so warm waterproof clothes are recommended as are blankets because this event will take place rain or shine. Limited seating is available but feel free to bring your own.
The screening begins at 7.30pm and tickets are £10/£9 concessions(a £1 per transaction fee applies when booking online).
The Dukes is also hosting Ghost Box as part of First Friday on April 1.

Meet the scientist dressed in a white lab coat in The Dukes foyer before your performance slot to be guided to Zimmerman’s laboratory.
