Delight for equine charity as new foal is sponsored
Horses and Ponies Protection Association (HAPPA) are delighted to announce a new cooperate sponsorship following the latest addition born at the Charity’s Rescue Centre in Burnley, Lancashire.
Wren Coaching and Wellbeing, based in Lancashire, contacted HAPPA when founder and owner of Wren, Renata Gianquitto, heard about the opportunity to sponsor the recently born foal.
The Charity had placed an appeal, through social media, to help support the care of the foal, born on 5th April and her mother, who had been rescued by the Charity following a huge collaborative effort, with other welfare agencies, to remove 40 equines from unsuitable conditions. Through the appeal to sponsor the two ponies the Charity offered the opportunity for the Corporate Sponsors to be able to name the ponies as well. The mare has been named HAPPA Clarity and the new-born foal HAPPA Wren.
Renata explains further, “I chose the name Wren as I liked the play on words. My friends and family call me Ren, but a wren is also a small bird with a very powerful voice. Since I am a great believer in releasing the inner strength, wellbeing, clarity and wisdom that we all have, I saw the wren breaking free from the circle as a great representation of what coaching can do for people, the freedom and voice that it can provide.
I have a special interest in working with charities as I see a great affinity and resonance in the values and goals that Wren Coaching & Wellbeing shares with some of these amazing organisations. I chose HAPPA as one of the charities I support inspired by my daughter Chiara’s passion for horses but also after meeting HAPPA’s lovely CEO, Sarah, and being further inspired by the care and love that HAPPA provides to their beautiful equines.”
Phillippa Hawkard, HAPPA’s Development Manager, says “We are absolutely delighted to welcome onboard Wren Coaching as another of our corporate sponsors and we hope that this will encourage more businesses to look to support the Charity. A huge thank you to Renata for thinking of us and for the fantastic names given to our new additions.”
