Debut Lancashire Business Day will celebrate county’s commercial excellence
Businesses across the county are being invited to celebrate the first Lancashire Business Day this November.
The new date in the county’s commercial calendar will celebrate the red rose county’s graft, skill, determination and success.
The event has been devised by Lancashire Business View (LBV) magazine in partnership with Marketing Lancashire, the county’s destination management organisation.
Lancashire Day can trace its roots back to 1295 when the county first sent representatives to Edward I’s Parliament.
Lancashire Business Day will take place on November 27, the historic date for Lancashire Day Celebrations.
Richard Slater of LBV said: “This event will be a showcase and celebration of Lancashire’s diverse and dynamic business community.
“We want to bring a spotlight to business excellence in the county and help forge new collaborations and connections.
“Our job is to connect the county and encourage trade. Lancashire Business Day is at the heart of that ambition.”
Ruth Connor of Marketing Lancashire said: “It’s our role to showcase the county and encourage investment and visitors to the county.
“We have a fabulous business heritage and this debut Lancashire Business Day event is designed to provide a platform to show that off.”
Details for the event are being kept under wraps, but organisers are promising top-class Lancashire food, entertainment and inspiration for the November 27 extravaganza.
Further information for the event will be announced shortly.
