Chorley Council launches new Business Energy Support Grant
A new grant from Chorley Council will support local businesses to meet sustainability goals, improve efficiency, increase profitability and reduce energy costs. The Business Energy Support grant is open to applications from businesses operating across Chorley borough.
The Business Energy Grant can be used to fund equipment, identified by an Energy Audit, that will deliver a contribution towards carbon reduction and reduce energy use and costs. Chorley Council will fund the Energy Audit which will be needed as part of the Grant application process.
The level of grant awards ranges from £500 to £2000 depending on the cost of the equipment specified in the Energy Audit.
Councillor Alistair Bradley, Leader of Chorley Council said: “I am really pleased that we are now offering this new Business Energy Support Grant. It is a great addition to the support that we already offer to Chorley-based businesses. I know businesses are concerned about their energy costs at the moment and this grant will help to reduce their costs going forward and also contribute towards carbon reduction in the borough.”
