Burnley’s Woodland Spa retains its Best in the North Award!
THE Woodland Spa has once again won the “Best spa in the North” Award at this year’s Good Spa Guide Awards in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The award is a remarkable achievement for the Burnley-based spa as it’s a second consecutive win. The award also follows on from The Woodland Spa last month winning the Global Luxury Spa Award at a glamourous event in at the Harbour Grand Hotel in Hong Kong.
Andrew Brown, the Managing Director of Crow Wood Leisure, The Woodland Spa’s parent company said that he was delighted to win the accolade again.
“We’ve had an excellent run recently where we’ve received global recognition, but this one is really important to us, because the North of England is our home turf,” said Mr. Brown.
“This award is voted for by the people that matter the most – the paying public. So I’d like to extend our thanks to all the people who took the time to vote for us, especially our fabulous customers, who have been extremely supportive.”
“We’re delighted to win this title two years in a row – last year we felt that we’d done extremely well, but there are excellent spas in the North, most of whom have upped their game and invested in their facilities since last year. That means that we’ve had to do the same and continue to invest to stay ahead of the competition.”
“We’ve tried to be the best in every detail, but in addition, we’ve continued to invest in our people, so the award is a great testament to the hard work and professionalism of our growing team,” added Mr. Brown.
In under two years, The Woodland Spa is approaching its 100,000th customer and has seen Crow Wood double its number of staff to 160 and the business will exceed sales of £5.6million in 2015.
