Bowland Inns & Hotels to increase bedroom stock dining capacity with new developments
A market leading pub, hotel and wedding venue specialist sector operator headquartered in Clitheroe, Lancashire, has been given the go ahead by Ribble Valley Borough Council on two developments at two of their current trading sites, Waddington Arms, Waddington and Eaves Hall, West Bradford.
Bowland Inns & Hotels t/a James’ Places owns and operates an eclectic collection of historic buildings in the Ribble Valley, Yorkshire Dales and the South Lakes, boasting a portfolio of 9 sites home to 12 operating businesses including boutique hotels, exclusive wedding venues and country pubs with rooms.
The first development that has received approval by the Ribble Valley Borough Council planning department is the addition of 15 one and two bedroom Eco Lodges at Eaves Hall, the group’s exclusive use wedding and events venue in West Bradford, Clitheroe.
The second development will see the addition of 8 extra bedrooms and additional dining capacity at the Waddington Arms near Clitheroe, more than doubling the current bedroom stock.
James Warburton, Owner of Bowland Inns & Hotels commented: “We are delighted to receive both planning decisions through in such a timely manner. The lodges at Eaves Hall will add an extra string to our bow, allowing wedding and event guests an opportunity to extend their stay and really get to see and enjoy what the Ribble Valley has to offer.”
“The extra bedrooms at the Waddington Arms are a real bonus too. Waddington is an exceptionally pretty village and it’s exceptionally busy for day visitors, overnight stays and wedding guests. We’re pretty sure we’ll have no trouble filling the extra capacity.”
Mike Auld, Manager Director of James’ Places commented: “It’s certainly been a busy year for us so far, and there is more exciting news to come, but that’s the way we like it. After the challenges of the past few years, it’s great to be busy in the right way for a change.”
