Blackpool Transport updating their services and timetables from 16 April
Acting on customer feedback, Blackpool Transport have launched a brand new service, designed to serve the communities in Staining and connect them to the rest of the Fylde Coast. Beginning on 17th April, the new Service 15 will link Staining, Victoria Hospital and Blackpool Town Centre and will run every 60 minutes.
Other route changes from Sunday 16th April include Service 1 covering the Larkholme and Chatsworth areas, whilst continuing to serve Fleetwood High and Cardinal Allan Schools at school times. Service 3 will also now leave Cleveleys Park using West Drive.
Services 11 and 14 have a timetable change on Sundays to better fit in with customers’ journey habits. Service 14 will run every 30 minutes, whilst Service 11 will have a slight timetable change to help customers who use both services for connecting journeys.
Service 18 at 15:00 towards Mereside from Blackpool has also been re-timed to 15:05. This is following feedback from students and families at Park School and should help students to travel home more conveniently.
Service 2 will now run additional services at peak times and the 2c will have a minor change to the Seven Stars timing point to ensure the route runs more efficiently.
Jane Cole, Managing Director of Blackpool Transport said, “Our priority at Blackpool Transport is always the service we provide to our customers. The service changes coming from 16th April are based on customer feedback that we’re excited to act on. The new Service 15 will connect Staining and its surrounding community to the centre of Blackpool and Victoria hospital, creating more reliable links to our network. We are also committed to serving our local schools and colleges, making it easy and convenient for the next generation in Blackpool to travel for education.”
