Blackpool Hotel meets Hotel Inspector
On Monday 29 June, Lesley Lloyd, Chair of Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board (LBTB), joined specially invited guests to celebrate the official opening and the award of 5 Star accreditation to Blackpool’s newest, boutique B&B, Langtry’s.
Over the last six months Langtry’s, formerly known as Sunnyside, has been through something of a transformation and re-emerged as a chic, six bedroomed B&B which was officially opened by The Worshipful the Mayor and Mayoress of Blackpool, Councillor Norman E Hardy and Barbara Hardy.
Langtry’s proud owners Julie Sayers and David Webb welcomed their guests and gave thanks to all those who had helped them achieve their goal of attaining five stars. They also announced that Channel 5’s Hotel Inspector, which has followed the make-over of Sunnyside and the development of Langtry’s, is due to air on Channel 5 on Monday 20 July at 9.00pm.
Speaking on behalf of LBTB, Lesley Lloyd said “Langtry’s joins a growing number of four and five star accommodation providers helping change old perceptions of Blackpool by raising new standards in accommodation; from boutique B&B to chic apartment, each has sought change to meet the demands of today’s more discerning visitors. Julie and David are to be congratulated on their impressive B&B and we wish them every success for the coming season.”
Langtry’s is situated at 36 King Edward Avenue, Blackpool.
