Andrew lands leading role at Stanley House Hotel and Spa
Stanley House Hotel and Spa, Mellor has bolstered its wedding and events team with the appointment of Andrew Loynes.
Andrew, who is 25 and lives in Chorley, has joined the award-winning hotel as a meeting and events coordinator.
Andrew, Andy to his friends, is a third-year student studying BA (Hons) Event Management at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) and has landed the role as a result of Stanley House Hotel and Spa’s close relationship with the university.
The partnership, which helps place Lancashire’s flourishing hospitality and events talent in key positions at Stanley House Hotel and Spa, has enabled two students to gain insight into the leisure and tourism sector at the hotel in the past year alone.
Wendy Hope, sales and marketing manager at Stanley House Hotel and Spa, commented: “It’s vital that we capture and nurture Lancashire’s budding hospitality and events professionals to ensure that we not only offer a first class service to our guests, but also continue to grow commercially as a business. Our partnership with UCLan is instrumental in doing just that.”
In his new role, Andy works alongside Stanley House Hotel and Spa’s events team to support the organisation and delivery of private banqueting and wedding celebrations.
Wendy added: “Andy’s ambition and flair really shone through at interview, so paired with his commitment to creating the perfect customer experience, he’s a seamless fit for the Stanley House brand. He is a real asset to the business. I have real admiration for him, as working in a demanding sector while studying takes a great deal of self-motivation and devotion.”
Rod Train, who is the BA (Hons) Event Management course leader at UCLan, said: “Andy’s commitment to attaining a top events career in the competitive leisure and tourism sector is commendable.
“Stanley House is renowned for its event facilities and strong staff pedigree, so I wish Andy the very best in cementing his career. I’m confident he’ll go far at Stanley House.”
