A Hoof-Tastic Halloween
Horses and Ponies Protection Association (HAPPA), a registered Charity based in Burnley, Lancashire will be running a whole host of fundraising activities to enjoy throughout October.
Starting on Friday 4th October with a Clairvoyant Evening at The Fence Gate, Burnley, an evening of messages from loved ones with the team from Psychic Nights UK, who will be providing their mediumship abilities with not one, but two 45-minute live readings for the audience. Tickets for this event must be purchased in advance from HAPPA.
Back at the Charity’s Shores Hey Farm in Briercliffe there is much more going on.
Woof Shack, which is the monthly dog socialisation group, is holding a scavenger hunt and indoor play on Sunday 6th October from 11am.
The HAPPA Café will be holding a Spooky Halloween Evening in collaboration with Poison Ivy Cocktails on the 2nd of November, an evening of great food and fabulous cocktails will welcome those who book to attend the three-course meal event.
On Friday 25th October dig out your best Halloween costumes for the Halloween Party for families. Held in The Café from 6.30pm-9.30pm, join our team for fun, games, and a Halloween disco with prizes for the best children’s and adult’s fancy dress up for grabs.
A Potion Madness Trail throughout the school holidays will encourage children to search Shores Hey Farm to find hidden ingredients, their mission is to make a magical potion to help Ricki save all the horses at HAPPA from the naughty Valley Goblins.
Hoof-tastic children’s educational activities, where children can get interactive with the horses, include a Halloween themed Own a Pony Day, Pony Squad and Pony Grooming sessions. A wonderful way for children to come and learn all about how to care for a horse or pony correctly.
Finally, on Sunday 20th October the Halloween Dog Show has fun-filled classes to choose from, it is sure to be a tail-wagging adventure for every pup!
Linda Clough, Fundraising Manager explains, “October this year will be the best one yet at Shores Hey Farm, from pups, ponies, parties, trails, to cocktail evenings we have it all. We encourage everyone to jump on board and join us to raise vital funds for the Charity’s vital work rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses.”
