This current lockdown situation has exacerbated the need for independent retailers to be visible and discoverable online to drive online sales, particularly as we approach Christmas. It has highlighted the support needed to develop e-commerce systems for our local businesses.
Clockwork City, a partner of the Lancashire Digital Skills Partnership, is hosting a training programme, funded by Lancashire County Council, to develop the digital skills of local businesses so they are more confident in using digital tools to promote their businesses and conduct sales online.
The training is designed to:
Increase online discoverability and visibility of a business
Support business owners and their teams to be effective at social media promotion and understand social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
Explore how to run a ‘click and collect’ service and e-commerce platforms.
All with the aim of increasing the profitability of the business.
