2019 Pendle Tourism Conference is being held at Pendle Heritage Centre, Barrowford on Tuesday 15 October from 9am – 12.45 including lunch.
The event is for all types of businesses involved in the visitor economy including people working in retail, cafes, restaurants, pubs, B&Bs, holiday cottage owners, visitor attractions, arts and cultural organisations and event organisers.
Speakers include:
- Vikki Harris from Marketing Lancashire talking about the region’s bid for UK City of Culture Status in 2025
- Lisa Durkin, Business Improvement District Manager for Colne explaining how the town is developing for business and visitors
- Sarah Cockburn-Price giving an insight into how Pendle Heritage Centre is reviving its heritage for future visitors
- Kirsty Rose Parker, Director of The Evaluator, talking about research and consultation towards Pendle’s new Cultural Strategy
And Pendle Council’s own Planning and Economic Development Manager, Neil Watson, will be introducing exciting times on the horizon for Nelson with the development of its town centre through a new Masterplan.
The Tourism Conference is part of Pendle Business Week 2019 which runs from Monday 14 October www.pendle.gov.uk/business
