‘Best UK Day SPA’ title for The SPA Hotel at Ribby Hall Village
Just weeks after being named the Best Spa in the North West at the Professional Beauty Awards, The SPA Hotel at Ribby Hall Village has scooped yet another prestigious accolade.
The SPA Hotel was named ‘Best UK Day SPA’ in the national Good Spa Guide Awards, in a field of leading spas from across the UK. The awards were announced earlier this month during a gala dinner at the Spa Life Conference in Birmingham.
The Best UK Day SPA award was one of a handful of Readers’ Choice National Awards which were voted for by over 60,000 spa goers. Winning the award reflects The SPA Hotel’s commitment to ensuring its daytime customers have the ultimate spa experience, whatever their length of stay.
“We’ve done so much this year to improve our Day Spa experience, investing around £0.5m to make the facilities even better,” says SPA Manager Jane Tregonning. “But even more important than that is the fact that everyone here works so hard to ensure that all our guests have an amazing experience.”
At the heart of The SPA Hotel’s daytime offering is its iconic Aqua Thermal Journey, a two-hour spa experience which takes in steam rooms, saunas, a Balinese Salt Inhalation Room, monsoon showers and a hydrotherapy pool, all designed to detoxify and revitalise the body and mind.
An essential part of the Journey is a visit to the outdoor Zen Garden which, thanks to its £200,000 refurbishment earlier this year, now boasts two outdoor hot tubs, a rustic sauna, mood showers and the ultra-soothing Himalayan salt sauna, all enjoying fabulous views over the Lancashire countryside.
Alongside the Aqua Thermal Journey, day spa visitors can enjoy a range of specialist treatments and wellbeing therapies, delivered by fully trained professionals, or a visit to the improved Finishing Touches beauty treatment area. Treatments include those from leading beauty houses ELEMIS, Ishga and Neom.
As well as the pampering potential, day customers also expect excellent food and refreshment. The SPA Hotel’s 2AA Rosette restaurant, The Orangery, offers lunch, afternoon tea and dinner to daytime customers.
Jane Tregonning says: “Our customers have every right to expect excellent food, superb facilities and professional treatments, but we like to think we go a step further than that, offering all the extra ingredients required for true relaxation and pampering perfection.
“We’re absolutely thrilled that our efforts have been recognised with this award. We’d like to thank everyone who voted for us and we promise to continue doing what we do to make sure everyone has the perfect day out at The SPA Hotel.”
The Good Spa Guide is recognised industry-wide as being the showcase of excellence in the UK spa market. Its Bubble Rating system is a measure of excellence within the spa industry, rating spas one to five after assessing them comprehensively on more than 80 criteria. The SPA Hotel at Ribby Hall Village has held the Five-Bubble rating from the Good Spa Guide continuously since 2011.
The five bubbles reflect the excellent quality experience that visitors to The SPA can expect, from standard of facilities and general cleanliness, through to the all-important customer service and, of course, the treatments themselves.
Ribby Hall Village is the Northwest’s only five-star holiday village and The SPA Hotel is the jewel in its crown. At the end of the Village’s main drive, with its own lake and fountain, The SPA Hotel sits in hilltop splendour, and a one or two night stay here really does tick all the ‘getaway’ boxes.
Spa Breaks at The Spa Hotel, including breakfast, dinner, access to the Aqua Thermal Journey and overnight stay, start from £119 per person. Day Spa Packages also start at £119 per person too.
