Bowland Brewery and Holmes Mill add to Festival success
Clitheroe Food Festival revellers carried on the party at the town’s newest venue and home of Bowland Brewery, Holmes Mill.
The festival, on Saturday August 12, was a great success attracting thousands of people to the town and bringing locals out to enjoy a celebration of Ribble Valley food and drink.
The Bowland Brewery served 2,342 pints to festival goers down on the market and from the Bowland Bus on King Street before the food festival wound down and the party carried on at Holmes Mill, where indoor and outdoor bars and food options all contributed to a great afternoon and evening.
Holmes Mill operations manager Andrew Bailey said: “The Clitheroe Food Festival gave a fantastic boost to many of the businesses in the area, it gave visitors a jolly good time and made locals feel proud of their town.
“At Holmes Mill we had live music, a pie factory, pizza ovens and barbecues, as well as the Beer Hall and Bowland Food Hall. There was a feelgood, happy vibe about the place as it became the natural destination for between 6,000 and 7,000 festival goers leaving the Market Place area, a natural extension to what has already become an anticipated event on the local calendar.”
