Bowland Brewery Honoured In International Competition
Bowland Brewery is celebrating after scooping Bronze awards for its Buster and Deer Stalker ales in the International Beer Challenge.
The prestigious awards aim to reward and promote excellent beers from around the world providing brewers with a platform to showcase their beers. Competition among more than 700 entrants from 30 different countries was keen with a panel of judges picked from retailers, importers, publicans, brewers, writers and flavour analysts.
The judges were impressed with Buster IPA and Deer Stalker, both Bowland Brewery favourites.
Chairman of the judges, Jeff Evans, said: “The IBC is a truly international competition that is respected around the world. Thanks in many ways to the knowledge, expertise and integrity of our judges, who come from right across the brewing industry. They always make sure that any medal is hard won and fully deserved – there are no handouts in this competition.”
Buster is a well-balanced India Pale Ale with tropical undertones. Deer Stalker is a rich stout full of dark fruit flavours. Both beers are 4.5%.
