Return of the robot: Titan to wow crowds at St George’s
There’ll be free children’s entertainment in Preston this summer as Titan the Robot returns to perform for little shoppers.
The eight-foot-tall robot forms part of a line-up of free entertainment taking place at St George’s Shopping Centre during the school holidays, with Titan, a 17ft long t-rex and a children’s entertainer all putting on shows.
Friendly street entertainer Titan will serenade onlookers with comic musical scenes, while shooting water from his eyes and performing his comedic antics at the centre on Saturday 5 August, with show times at 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm.
And, on Saturday 19 August, prehistoric creatures will roam the centre as it plays host to a 17ft long t-rex and its baby dinosaurs. The dinosaurs will be performing at regular intervals between 12pm and 3.30pm.
Andrew Stringer, general manager at St George’s Shopping Centre, said: “We know keeping the kids entertained over the school holidays can be expensive, so we’ve an action packed summer ahead, with a series of free events for the youngsters to enjoy.
“We’re excited to welcome Titan and the dinosaurs, and we’re sure they’ll be a huge hit with Preston shoppers.”
There’ll also be a children’s entertainer amusing the crowds from 1-2pm on Saturday, 12 and 26 August, as the centre continues to offer free, fun activities to keep the little ones entertained throughout the summer.
