Stephensons Free Range Milk available at Booths from 1 July
ENABLING CUSTOMERS TO CHOOSE MILK FROM COWS GRAZED OUTSIDE ON TRADITIONAL GRASSLAND FARMS
Chris and Steph Stephenson from Stephensons Dairy, are pleased to announce that from the 1st July, UK supermarket Booths will be stocking their Pasture Promise Free Range Milk.
Free Range Milk is from farms where it’s guaranteed the dairy cows are grazed outside for at least half the year and farmers are paid more per litre.
“Booths already support dairy farmers in our region by paying the highest farmgate price on our Booths Brand milk. Stephenson’s Dairy gives customers’ additional choice in the dairy aisle,” says Dairy buyer Alan Kirby.
Chris adds “We offer consistent high quality free range milk that puts money directly back into the local economy. We work in collaboration with our farmers and processor ensuring that we have full knowledge of where the milk comes from and what happens to it from field to fridge.”
But it’s not just the farmers that benefit. Free range eggs are almost the norm now, and Stephensons want the same benefits for dairy cows. Cows are inquisitive creatures and natural grazers, so the commitment of the farmers to keep their cows outside means happier cows, which reflects in the high quality of the milk. The Pasture Promise logo is the only label on milk that gives consumers a clear assurance their milk comes from cows grazed for at least 180 days and nights a year.
In addition to the creamy colour and great taste, it froths beautifully. “Our Free Range Milk was chosen for the recent UK Barista Championships, as we believe the best coffee deserves our best milk” adds Steph. “So many of us now enjoy the luxury of a home coffee machine, why not try Pasture Promise Free Range Milk in your next cappuccino or latte to experience the difference?”
Stephensons whole and semi-skimmed Free Range Milk is available at selected Booths stores in 1 litre cartons.
