New funding available for Lancashire arts organisations
Lancashire County Council's Cultural Partnerships Programme 2016-18 is now open to arts organisations that want to apply for funding.
Funding of up to £25,000 is available for projects or initiatives in areas of Lancashire where the number of people currently enjoying arts and culture are low, and where residents across the county would benefit.
The support is offered for professional, not-for-profit initiatives delivering quality arts activity.
This finance comes from two different funds that are available from the county council, 'Cultural Partnerships' or the 'Children and Young People's Cultural Offer'.
The Cultural Partnerships fund supports and encourages people of all ages to take part in, and enjoy the arts.
The Children and Young People's Cultural Offer aims to make access to the arts easier for anyone up to 19. This is available in partnership with the creative Curious Minds organisation, based in Preston.
Lancashire County Council's head of Libraries, Museums and Culture, Julie Bell, said: "I'm delighted that we are able to offer this funding.
"Lancashire has a vibrant arts and culture sector and this will enable even more people to get involved in the future."
Applications to either fund can be made until the deadline of 12noon on Thursday 28 April.
