Morecambe Bay photographs on display at Maritime Museum
An exhibition of expressive photographs of Morecambe Bay is now on show at Lancaster Maritime Museum on St. George's Quay.
'The Tide's the Very Devil' showcases the ever-changing landscape of Morecambe Bay taken by north- west photographer Peter Rimmer.
Rachel Roberts, Lancashire County Council's museum manager, said: "Peter is interested in capturing mood, atmosphere and the emotional response this provokes through his work.
"He's inspired by the shifting patterns of sand and water and how this impacts on those people who both live and work on the bay.
"The photographs bring together scenes of working life, recreation and the dramatic landscape to form an intimate portrait of one of Britain's largest bays."
The exhibition runs until 29 March.
Museum opening times until 31 March are 12.30pm to 4pm. Admission is £3 for adult and £2 for concessions.
Accompanied children go free.
