Numbers reveal two of Lancashire’s top restaurants are on Pleasure Beach’s doorstep
Blackpool’s White Tower restaurant and Boulevard hotel’s restaurant (Beachside) have been named among the top 10 in Lancashire according to OpenTable – a restaurant search engine where diners can book and review.
Each month, OpenTable analyses nearly 2 million global diner reviews from the past four months. They sort the results by location and category and compile a list of the best rated for that area.
Both the White Tower and Boulevard were rated the best in the county, and ranked alongside venues like The Grand Hotel in St. Annes and Eight at Gazegill By Doug Crampton near Skipton.
White Tower’s general manager, Barry Tiplady said: “White Tower has been a staple for many over the past 45 years. Our guests come to us for our delicious menus, a traditional dining setting and unbeatable views of the coast. We feel really proud and pleased that our dedication and passion is reflected in the reviews of our guests.”
Situated on Ocean Boulevard a few doors down from the White Tower, is the contemporary luxury hotel, Boulevard – the recent winner of Northern Europe’s Best Luxury Hotel and Britain’s Best Luxury Lifestyle Hotel.
Philip Gahrmann, food and beverage manager at Boulevard said: “Not many people know that our restaurant is open to the public and not just guests of the hotel. We’re a hidden gem in that sense; delicious locally sourced food, a luxurious restaurant and fantastic views of the coastline and Illuminations.
“We’re really pleased we have been named with the best for Lancashire, and we can’t wait to welcome even more locals, travellers and foodies through our doors.”
Both White Tower and Boulevard sandwich Pleasure Beach and its award-winning rides and attractions.
The White Tower restaurant opened its doors in 1979 and has seen some famous faces dine there including Margaret Thatcher, Jeremy Beadle, Barbara Windsor, Jeffrey Archer, and Robbie Williams to name but a few.
Boulevard is a seafront hotel adjacent to Pleasure Beach and opened in 2019. It’s the two-time winner of Northern Europe’s Best Luxury Hotel as well as the 2024 winner of Britain’s Best Luxury Lifestyle Hotel in the Luxury Hotel Awards.
As we near Christmas, both venues offer seasonal dining options.
