Lancashire Day 2023: Share your Happy Memories
We’re getting ready for this year’s Lancashire Day celebrations, and we hope you are too. On Monday 27th November, all Lancastrians will be celebrating Lancashire Day and Marketing Lancashire can’t wait to join in.
Each year we dedicate our social media channels to celebrating the culture, lifestyle and achievements of the county in the hopes to get #LancashireDay trending and Lancashire on the forefront of many peoples’ minds. We’re asking for your help with this, by sharing your happy memories of Lancashire!
Whether you have a happy place that you return to again and again, have had a happy holiday to the county that you can’t stop thinking of, or have an attraction or shop that makes you happy every time to you visit, we want to hear about it on Facebook, X and Instagram. We want to remind as many people as possible about everything that induces happiness in Lancashire. What’s more, we will pick one lucky person who submits their memories to win a fantastic Lancashire themed bundle, which includes a pair of custom tattooed shoes from Lanx, a subscription to Lancashire Life Magazine and a Lancashire Gift Pack from Good Intent Gifts.
Last year our #LancashireDay activity reached a potential 47.3m, 41.1m on the day itself, in 48 countries across the world; including Canada, United States, Austria, Germany and France. We also got the hashtag #LancashireDay trending from 13:30 to 15:00 on the day, and you can help us get it trending for longer this year.
Vikki Harris, Marketing and Partnerships Director at Marketing Lancashire said “We know there are so many happy memories made in Lancashire each year and we want to share these far and wide to showcase just how brilliant our county is.
We want to share the happiness of Lancashire and spread it far and wide, give people an insight into the happy nature of our communities and the happiness that can be found at our attractions.
Whether your happy memory involves walking through the Forest of Bowland, meeting the animals at one of our many animal farms, seeing the crowd cheer as your favourite Lancashire football team win the match of the season, or a day spent shopping with friends. We want to hear, and see them all.”
