It’s less than 7 weeks until race day with places filling up for the Chorley 10K and 2K Family Run on Sunday 7 May.
This popular event, organised by Chorley Council and supported by Fylde Coast Runners, welcomes regular runners, fun runners, or those who just fancy giving it a go. Everyone from 4 years old are welcome to take part. Those who haven’t signed-up yet can do so at checkoutchorley.com/chorley10k
Deputy Leader of Chorley Council, Councillor Peter Wilson said “Whether you’re a regular at 10k running or just want to have some fun, the Chorley 10K and 2K Family Run are always great events, so get yourselves registered. The atmosphere along the route is always fantastic – so even if running isn’t your thing, come down on race day to cheer on the competitors, and enjoy the stalls and activities at the run village on Fazakerley Street.”
Starting and finishing in Chorley town centre, with the route taking runners through Astley Park, the Chorley 10K is a chip-timed race with entrants receiving a medal at the finish line.
The 2K Family Run starts first at 9:30am and the 10K race starts at 10:30 am.
