The Barn at Worden Hall is event-ready following £2.8m investment
The Barn at Worden Hall is ready to welcome bookings for special events and occasions, following the £2.8 million investment in refurbishing the iconic Grade II listed building located in the heart of Worden Park.
From July 2023 The Barn will be able to begin hosting functions such as parties, wakes, conferences, and small weddings from ceremony through to reception, with high quality catering available from the onsite Folly Café.
The Barn has benefitted from a new roof, windows, lighting, and flooring as part of the works, providing a wonderful event setting amongst the beautiful backdrop of the park.
Councillor Paul Foster, Leader of South Ribble Borough Council said, “We’re so very lucky to have this wonderful building in South Ribble back open to the public and able to accommodate events. For the public to be able to make memories there once again is very special.
“Right from the get-go, and following residents’ views, we wanted the building to be an asset for all the community to use and I am so glad to see the hall getting ready host your events.”
“It’s great to see final work taking place to ensure that The Barn is ready for the summer. We’re improving lighting and pathways and are resurfacing roads throughout the park as final touches for this first-class venue”.
Event bookings can be taken for The Barn on Mondays through to Saturdays (excluding Tuesdays), for both daytime and evening functions. Alongside private bookings, the public can expect to see seasonal events like craft fairs and exhibitions.

A dedicated new website for the Hall is coming soon.
Councillor Foster continued, “We said four years ago when we came into administration that we will bring Worden Hall back in to use and we have done exactly that.
“I cannot wait to see the community use the venue this year and watch the much-loved asset go from strength to strength.”
