Following yearly wins at the Great Taste Awards, ‘Taste by Borough Box’, a specialist wholesaler and exporter of independent food & drink products, asked Choc Amor to sample some of their unique, award-winning flavours to a selection of Japanese customers.

Choc Amor Director, Paul Williams, said: “We were delighted to be approached by ‘Taste by Borough Box’ and intrigued to hear that their Japanese customers were keen to try our chocolate.   We all tried to guess which flavours would appeal to the Japanese market. Would it be the more traditional ‘Brown Butter & Nibs’ or the more challenging flavours like ‘Orange Jalfrezi’?

“When the order came in, they had selected 2 flavours, Turkish Charm and Tonka Bean, Smoked Sea Salt & Cocoa Nib “

These products will feature at a UK fair, organised by Hankyu Department Stores in Japan.  They are one of the most prestigious department store groups in Japan and they regularly hold UK fairs where they will offer the award-winning flavours to their customers.

With their latest Great Taste Award 2020 (2 Stars for their Dark Chocolate Coffee bar), the Lancashire company now holds a grand total of 50 awards, including Great Taste Awards, Academy of Chocolate and International Chocolate Awards.
