Eden unveils even more at the North Lancs Expo
Following the success of the third North Lancs Expo, it looks like North Lancashire will have a gateway to show off the people, places, and businesses that makes it such a great work and play destination for many years to come. The North Lancashire Expo opened its doors on Friday and Saturday (20th and 21st September) to business and the public, bringing together the people and organisations of the region for a two-day spectacular showcase.
Organisers of the Expo, Lancaster & District Chamber of Commerce are extremely pleased to announce that the North Lancs Expo, was an outstanding success for both exhibitors and visitors alike with over 115 exhibitors, the busiest Expo so far with lots of new business and contacts made.
Star of the show was Si Bellamy, from Eden International, exclusively unveiling more themes about the impending Eden of the North at Morecambe. Speaking to a packed room at the Lancaster Brewery, Si revealed that not only the project will be about recreating a 21st Century seaside resort, rhythms, the natural wonder of Morecambe Bay, and also what’s under the Bay.
The Above the Bay area will be an environment filled with plants and art exhibits, showcasing natural abundance and the rhythms of life linked to the sun.
Below the Bay will be an immersive series of theatrical experiences that bring to life lunar rhythms and tides.
The Natural Sanctuary will be an area focussed on the health-giving aspects of the seaside with bookable wellbeing treatments.
The Natural Observatory will be the home of Eden Project North’s research and education programmes.
Another crucial aspect of the project is personal health and education, as well as making the most of the town’s motto “Beauty Surrounds, Health Abounds” and adding to it “Nature Astounds.”

Vicky Lofthouse, Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber, said: “The team and I are immensely proud to have delivered the Expo for the third year running and it has been the best one yet. I thank my colleagues for their unstinting work to make the Expo happen. However, the Expo isn’t about the Chamber; it’s about the amazing businesses of North Lancashire, our media team, our sponsors and most importantly our visitors that attended over the two days whom we were able to show off how amazing North Lancashire is and the businesses within.
“I’d personally like to thank all involved. The North Lancashire Expo is brought to you by Lancaster & District Chamber of Commerce in association with Lancaster City Council. The Expo is kindly sponsored by EDF Energy, Workshop Media, Nick Dagger Photography, Apparatus Marketing, SilverDoor Apartments, Lancashire Business View, Peterson (United Kingdom) Ltd, Lancaster & Morecambe College, Lancaster University and Treble 3.”
